I wanted to share two artsy apps that I enjoy during my commutes to and from work. You may find them worthwhile as much as I do.
I instantly fell in love with the FiftyThree Paper app on the iPad and now it is available on the iPhone. It is a fun way to doodle my sketches, play around with different colors and textures, and have the ability to easily share them with the world. I am not as proficient as some artists but this app gives me the opportunity to be creative and I love that it’s mobile.
Here is my black and white digital sketch of a cartoonish version of the night sky:
I used the ink pen in black color to draw the crescent moon, stars, and text on a plain white background. You can also use a pencil, marker, and brush. Watercolor is one that I would like to do more. With time and practice, I hope to share more art which will be minimalistic in nature. I am still learning to expand my drawing ability and navigate the app. Lol! There is a tips section on the app so you can browse through those if you have any issues. I have read some very good reviews about the compatible Pencil stylus device which is an add-on with this app. But you can also use it with other apps, like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PicsArt Studio. This is definitely on my Christmas list this year. 😉
Now we all know how therapeutic it is to color from your favorite coloring books. I love coloring on the Colorfy app. It is very easy to use and there are animals, classic art, nature, and more pages to choose from. Since I am a big cat person, I decided to use one of their cat pages.
So, are you guys ready to tune into your artistic side? 😄
