Chin music: an inside pitch close to a batter’s chin. (If the ball comes any closer, the batter might be singing a different tune.) A shave. A pitcher who throws a lot of chin music is called a barber. NY Giants pitcher Sal Maglie was know as “The Barber” because he threw so many high inside pitches.
