🍀 Hoppy (early) St. Patrick’s Day!!! 🍀 Today we have another fun activity, not necessarily themed for this particular holiday but will still be great. I promise. 😉
Growing up as a child, my parents taught us so many different ways to fold paper and create amazing art. This form of paper folding is called origami which originated in Japan for special ceremonies. For today’s Sunday Funday activity, we made a jumping origami frog. It is easier to work with origami paper sold in many arts and crafts stores but we used construction paper. We cut our construction paper into a 6 in. x 6 in. size paper to make a perfect square. If you want your frog to jump higher, you can make the folds sharper to increase that springy effect. I also had to cut a small leftover piece of paper at the ends but still worked out very nicely! We used this video tutorial for easy step-by-step directions via Art For Kids Hub on making this origami frog.
Now, you can decorate your frogs and race each other to the finish line. Enjoy! 😄
