We are anticipating the arrival of Spring with today’s activity and hopefully bring some warm weather our way. If you have stale cereal (preferably any circular ones) around, consider making a bird feeder. Our first bird feeder was made a few days before the bigger snow storm (see photo below).
You will need either a pipe cleaner, yarn, or fishing wire. Anything that’s strong enough to hold the cereal and a visiting bird. We used pipe cleaners and the kids threaded the Cheerios through carefully. I twisted the ends together and shaped it as a heart. This is so easy and looks great hung on a tree or a balcony like we did in the photo.
They say that it will take a few weeks before you see any birds. We are crossing our fingers. 😄
