From January 26 to 30, 2015, my daughter’s school was going to participate in the The Great Kindness Challenge every day this week to show support and a sense of community. But with this HUGE snow storm here (expecting about 2 feet of snow), it will be postponed until next week. The School Edition is this week but for everyone else their annual challenge is scheduled for August 8th, 2015. Be sure to mark your calendars.
I thought that I would share this if anyone would like to participate next week with us.
You show your kindness by wearing some sort of theme every day. As per my daughter’s school, please see details below:
February 2 – “Kindness comes from the heart” by wearing red clothing to show hearts of kindness
February 3 – “Nothing beats kindness” by wearing your favorite team’s shirt, sweatshirt, or jersey
February 4 – “Dream of kindness” by wearing pajamas or sweats (this one is easy because I live in my pajamas!)
February 5 – “Tied together by kindness” by wearing a tie or scarf to show friendship ties
February 6 – “Character counts when it comes to kindness” by wearing your school colors to show school spirit (others can wear your best attire)
