Toddlers are just curious by nature and it’s safe to say that they explore the world using their five senses. With Christmas around the corner, I thought it would be a great idea to suggest my top picks with little ones in mind:
Bright colors are very attractive to any young child. M loves the color green but not the dark green. It has to be the bright, light green. Away We Go! A Shape And Seek Book by Chieu Anh Urban is one of M’s favorite board books. It’s colorful and filled with different cut out shapes to help distinguish them better. K bought this book at her school book fair last year and M just gravitates to this particular one all the time.
You can’t go wrong with scented washable markers. Crayola Washable Super Tips Fine Line Markers in a pack of 50 includes 12 silly scented markers. They are so much fun to doodle and smell as you create your masterpiece.
M is a very picky eater. She was such a good eater as an infant but as she grew older, the less food she ate. She is not a veggies fan. In order to sneak them in, our favorite go-to choice is the Gerber Graduates Squeezable Fruit & Veggies. Right now she loves the Pear & Squash and Banana, Pear & Zucchini.
We have been listening to Super Simple Songs and PBS Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood tracks (both available on YouTube) on a daily basis since M was an infant. We enjoy these songs while I am preparing food for our meals and she helps me in the kitchen.
Well, this one is a no-brainer. M loves Play-Doh. We found this adorable Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe Double Desserts set which dings when oven is pressed down and is covered with molds all around so you don’t have to worry about a million little parts. It is such a cute little set!
These will make great stock stuffers and/or Christmas gifts for your child.
