Cavatelli with broccoli is my family’s favorite dinner and is easily in rotation weekly for quick dinners. You will enjoy making this delicious meal for it’s simplicity and great taste. My children are picky eaters and they love this!
- 2 bags of Cavatelli (found in the frozen food aisle)
- 1 bag of any “steam-in-a-bag” broccoli florets (found in the frozen food aisle)
- 5 or 6 garlic cloves chopped
- cooking oil
- salt to taste
- grated cheese
- optional protein: chicken, sausage, bacon bits
Cook pasta as directed on bag in salted water. Microwave broccoli accordingly. Chop garlic cloves and add them to large skillet with cooking oil (some like chicken broth but oil seems much simpler for me). Use medium/low heat to brown garlic. Then add pasta, broccoli, and salt to taste. Cook together for additional 10 min. Serve.
This will take less than 30 minutes to cook and it is so easy to make. Hope you will enjoy this recipe as much as our family. Mangia!
